New Mossms City :=)

As the beta for the mossms goes on I built a new city for them ... with a house to live in and a room for the babies to grow, a gym where they can train, a tech place and farm to work and a bar to relax ... also they have a little lake now where they will be able to train for the synchron swimming ;=) Here´s a pic of the whole New Mossms City at BPM:

Cause this is really big now I need to fill it with more mossms now ........ *giggles

... and this brought me to another point. Another thing I really love about these mossms. Cause ... we all know this: We breed and breed and we get a lot of "crap" (forgive me the word "crap" ... but we all know how it is ;=) ... but what to do with them? We do not want to keep them, selling does not work too at a certain point ... and even if we can send them away and get something for doing so it is not THAT nice.

BUT - with the mossms it is different. There are NO "usless" mossms. Even if they do not have a "good" breed and/or traits - they still produce resources. And the faster we get resorces the faster we can breed new ones or get new items ... so either way this is a "win-win" situation ;=)

And that also means - ALL mossms will be worth selling respectively buying - cause we all need enough mossms for our resources.

Okay - there is still the prim problem. But with mossms that only do have 8 prims anymore this problem will be solved  too in a way. Okay again - you still need the items for them ... but hey - 8 prims per mossm? There are a lot of breedables that have way more ;=))) So that should balance the prims for the items ...

All in all I fell in love with this mossms more and more each day - STILL ;=) It is just fun to build stuff for them and to watch them. When I finished a new house for them and set it out I am excited like a child at christmas what they will do with it ... did not have that for a long time now ;=))

And there is still so much to discover ... I have to say even if I can just not wait till the mossms will be released and I will have them for "real" this beta is one of the best working ones since ages and the most entertaining and funny beta I have ever done ;=)

End of a green era

... yes Cord is no longer green ... WHY you ask? Well here is the reason...

First I need to tell those who did not know why I was green I guess ;=) ... Well me and my former bf once went to the musical "Wicked - The Witches of Oz". While we were watching it my bf suddenly looked at me and said "Hey, Elphaba (the green witch) - that is you!" - and he was right.
Her natur, her love for animals, her stubbornness, her love for freedom - yes, that indeed was - and is - me. When he said that I was THAT happy. And thought - THIS is the guy who really can see - and accept - who I am. So back in SL I searched for a green skin and I was green now for almost two years.

But things change ... and my bf just was not the guy I thought he was. In the end I had to face the fact that he does NOT know me at all, that he does not even care who I am, never did and never will nor wants to. That was the reason why I ended the relationship ... sad, oh yes, but - well, that´s just life ;=)

The end of the relationship was weeks ago and I still feel happy and free and just know it was the only thing I could do - and it was the right way. So it was time for a change ... and also I really was sick and tiered of this green ;=)

So Cord got a new avi and I guess this blog will soon get a new "outfit" too.

I am still the same person I ever was and will ever be - even if it does not fit for others - but I know - I am who I am and I like who I am so to all of you out there you think you can change persons or buy them with presents .... THAT JUST DOES NOT WORK! ;=)

Cord is still Cord and I promise I will stay Cord ... to all of you out there who like who I am ... and I got SOME proofs in the last time that this is a fact too ;=))))

A disappointment - the Charmed Shoes....

Weeks ago I discovered a new breedable in SL - Charmed Shoes - breedable shoes. I was like - WTF??? Shoes you can breed???? OMG! ;=)

So I visited the mainstore and met some of the creators and staff. Nice ppl and they told me a lot about these shoes. I already loved the idea of breedables shoes you can turn into wearables ... so not only "breedables" but also you are able to "design" and "create" your own shoes ... niiiccceeee - at least I THOUGHT it would be nice.

A few days after I bought a starter-pack and a closet (shelf that these shoes need, you can not breed them without a closet). I spent over 5k! for this. Took them home and started with them.

After I got my first "shoe babies" I wanted to turn one pair into wearables and bought a bag you need for that. But it did not work - so I IMed the creator Sebastian to ask what I did wrong. He told me that there was a server update going on at the moment and that I should pass him the broken shoes and will get a replacement. I did ... and he even told me a bit more about these - like that you need to level them up.

What does "level them up" mean? Well these shoes have "traits" like bows and stuff. BUT - they also have so called "Flair Points". For example - you have a pair with 14/40 flair points or 10/70. Now what you need to do is to level this points up by breeding them and get more points on them for example 20/40 or 50/70 and in the end somewhen you will get 40/40 or 70/70. ONLY THEN you will get THE shoe the pic is shown ... if you make the wearable with let´s say 35/40 or 60/70 they will miss something and will not be "ready".

BUT - it does not work if you breed the 14/40 pair with the 10/70 pair ... you may get a 10/20 pair out of them for example (happened to me). To level them up you need a x/40 or x/70 pair to breed with other x/40 or x/70 pair ....

DANG! Well I still thought .... okay let´s try that and that makes sense cause this will keep the market for them going. I THOUGHT THAT!

So I bred ... even bought another broom for them (they need the broom to rise enchantment). So here is what you need for them:
• the shoes of course (smallest starter pack is 2200LS)
• a closet (smallest one is 500LS)
• the broom (smallest one is 400LS - but comes with the starter pack)
• the shoe polish as food (smallest one is 400LS - but comes with the starter pack)
I spent 5600LS on them (starter pack with 4 shoes for 4400 and a closet for 800 - only to get started and later another broom for 400).
And I bred an got a lot of other shoe pairs - mostly very "low leveled" ones. I even got another x/70 pair I could breed with my 10/70 pair. But out of 10/70 and 14/70 came 18/70 .... so you can imagine how long it takes till you have a 70/70 pair ....
So I figured out that "low level" shoes will be just worthless ... you can do nothing with them. But I thought - a well try and make a low level pair wearable, let´s see what comes out of them, even if they are not "ready" they will look better than all these freebie shoes ... so you may sell the wearables then (I have seen wearable Charmed Shoes - they DO look good).

But it did not work again. So I IMed Sebastian again ... and THEN ... came the BIG SURPRISE!!!!

He told me that "this function is disabled at the moment" (as always - "the server is down" - lol ppl really think they can use THAT as an excuse). I asked for the reason and this was his original answer:

[08:17] Sebastian Viper (sebastian007.viper): if I have the server on now, MANY people new to our game will try and make shoes into wearables with Flair numbers that would not give them very much Flair options. ex. 14/70 that shoe wuld be VERY basic and people would be upset. Not fully understanding the Game. Therefore frustrating people that our shoes are ugly and would stop playing, because they didnt know how to play.

I was shocked. When I HATE ONE thing than it is when somebody tries to "educate" me.
All I was thinking was - this is WRONG! You as a customer should be able to decide by YOURSELF when you want to do whatever with a breedable you BOUGHT - for a lot of money in this case.
So I discussed with him. He came over and was willing to give me the pair I wanted to turn into wearables as "full filled wearables". But first this was not the point and second he talked to me in a very arrogant way like I was a little child that is not able to count till 3 ... I only was like - WTF????

In the end I told him that I will just stop these shoes and that I think that system really stupid. Cause here is what is my conclusion:

1. You spent a LOT of money only to get started.
2. You need to breed and breed and breed them (I guess it will take weeks and - depending on how high the "end flair points" are - sometimes even months) until you get a "full filled" pair.
3. In that time you need to pay for food and broom and you may even have to buy another closet when the first one is full.
4. That means - you need to spend a lot of money and time before you even can do something with these shoes.
5. The worst thing on this whole thing is - that the creators do decide when they do "allow" their customers to make these shoes wearable - I think that fact is just a bad joke.
6. You will get a lot of "crap" shoes while you try to level them up - but you need not even try to sell them cause nobody would want these "low leveled" shoes ... cause only the points do count, not the "traits" or offsprings. So unlike to other breedables you have nothing to sell until they are "full" or very high leveled. 

So this system is something that will not work in my opinion. My PERSONAL opinion. But all in all these "Charmed Shoes" have been a very big disappointment for me. And manily the FACT that creators decide what their customers are allowed to do and when - this is something I just can not stand. Because of this behaviour I totally lost faith in "Charmed Breedables" and the ppl who are involved in that. Really a shame cause I really thought these shoes a good idea ... but the implementation just sucks for me.

So I thought I should let you know. If you want to try these shoes - just be careful. Have a good look at the prices and how this system "works". And keep in mind that the creators do whatever they want to do and how THEY think it would be the "right way".

And last but not least - YES , these shoes LOOK GOOD as wearables - but .... remember I spent 5600LS .... and got not even ONE pair so far ... so you can imagine how many ALSO VERY GOOD LOOKING and WELL DONE shoes I could have bought for 5600LS .... it is just not worth it (and you KNOW you will NEVER get your money back).

Just great ....

You know - there are these days where you are just lucky, where miracles really happen and you just feel GREAT.
Yesterday was such a day. I still can hardly believe it all and just MUST share that with you cause I am THAT happy :=)))

First of all Omara imed me and told me that she is planing to do jingjing auctions too but she does not want to step into my way so she wanted to make sure to do them at different days and times. I was very pleased by that and appreciate it a lot. Not many ppl in SL do care like her. Thank you a lot again Omara :=)

Then the JingJing auction was sold out again and we had a wonderful time together - as always. But not only that - much more did happen.
Suddenly Mrs. H (Nola) said that she will give a full Fucanglong Vampire Bunny egg to the highest buyer. I always knew Nola as a very nice person but that support did beat that. I was very surprised and totally happy about that. Thank you a lot again Nola :=))

Then we came to the last panel. It was a Changjunglu - and I was complaining for days now that I do not have one so far. When I saw the starting bid I fell off my chair - just 1k!!!! OMG - though I was broke I could afford it for that price .... it was like it screamed out to me - TAKE ME HOME!
Nobody did bid ... I held my breath and did snipe it for 1k .... I already was happy and could not believer it ... but then ................ Maros did bid 1100 ... I was like - WTF???? You DARE to outbid me???
Cause the problem is - my own rule. Staff is only allowed to bid one time on each panel - so Maros was safe with that bid and I could not give him a bidwar - well I was too broke for that anyway ;=)
I yelled at him and called him bad and could not believe he did that ... but all of a sudden there where Royal and Night who gave him a fight ... I had to laugh and told him - HA see you do NOT get THAT one without a fight - Royal and Night avenge me!
In the end Maros got it for 1500LS - well I thought - good for the seller, he sold it for more than just 1k - and it was totally worth it. And you know me - I am happy when my customers are happy so it was okay and last but not least we had a nice laugh again and fun together.
So the auction was done and I thanked everybody for coming when suddenly Maros shouted "Cord accept that!" I again was like - WTF? What accept? EHH??? Then he passed me a JingJing egg, turned voice on and did laugh THAT hard.
I was surprised, gobsmacked and passed out. Could not believe that. Took me a moment till I realized what had happened:
Maros knew I was broke and he also knew I wanted a giraffe jing that hard and it was a really nice price - so he wanted to please me and buy the egg for me. But as he did Royal and Night thought he want to keep it and did not want that to happen - they both tried the same - to buy the egg for me!!!!!

CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT????????

Three FRIENDS who tried to please me .... I was delirious with joy and I still am. It was SO good to see that happen. SO good to have SUCH friends who support me and even try to please me .... in SL where a lot of drama goes on and where you really have to be careful when trusting others things like THAT still happen. There ARE SOME ppl who really care, who are REAL friends and who are just GREAT persons.

Omara, Nola, Maros, Royal, Night ... and all the others too here at BPM ... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOLKS!!!!! These are the things that tell me - YES you DO it the right way and YES others like the way you do it!
All of you - you ROCK, you are the best friends ever - you are JUST GREAT!!!!!!!

And you made me very very happy :=)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Great Q&A session :=)

On Sunday after a great JingJing auction where we were totally sold out we had the Q&A session for the Mossms at 2PM. And this session also was just great :=))

Was very nice to meet Asymmetrical, Coolbrain and Progenitor from the Mossms team. Very nice ppl who brought us even deeper into these awesome new breedables. Not that we all did not love them before ... now we love them even more!

All three also were very anxious to answer all our questions and you really got the feeling they seek for the contact to their community to know what ppl want, like and wish.

To put it all down here what was said would be just too much and also I do not remember every single word *giggles ... but I can promise that these adorable creatures will rock the SL breedable community. They are really something totally new and different with a great mix between browser-based and inworld and a team behind them that cares about their community.

What I personally do like is the fact that they have a really good mix between browser-based and inworld. And that it will stay that way and not get too much browser-based like we have with the booshies (who never will be a real SL breedable).

In the end we all got a "Mossms-Hat" and did wear it with proud ... nice to have one of these cute creators with you :=)))

Everybody really did enjoy this awesome Q&A, we got all our questions answered and now we are more than addicted to these ADORABLE breedables ;=) For sure we will do this Q&A again very soon ....

New mossms setup

I made my first "Mossms City" *giggles ... a place where the cute little creatures can live and work ... the house has a baby room and a living / sleeping room upstairs, downstairs a bar and a planed gym (need to get some Zip items first ;=) ... outside there is the blossm farm and a garden where they can plant too. Here´s a pick:

These mossms are really cool. They are fun to watch and it is also fun to build for them. Also I like this system more and more ... they way they have to work for their items as well as for their breeding ... that way it is not only about ppl with enough money to buy boosters and stuff to get babies very quick and overflow the market ... just love this new system.
And as the babies already build up Slack you have no "waiting times" too in a way ... that´s something I really like.

Anniversary conclution

WOW this was a GREAT weekend ... we had so much fun :=)))

The Drop Down event on Friday was funny and ppl were busy with hunting bargains - we will do that again for sure :=).

On Saturday we had an awesome All Breedable Auction with a lot of happy Raffle Winners and again great bargains were made.

The JingJing Auction on Sunday was just a blast! A big THANK YOU to the JingJing creators Twstd and Abu again for supporting this auction with special eggies I was able to raffle and they even gave two more away for the buyer and seller of the most expensive Jing at this auction.

When I added the two extra weeks to all existing rentals most of my tenants fell from their chairs and passed out. Well - I really want to say THANK YOU and want to give a bit back from what I get from you - cause all this makes this sim going!

The final conclution now is - YES I AM doing the RIGHT thing the RIGHT way :=))))))) I am that happy after this weekend. Running this market was never easy for me - but it alway was THE thing I really want to do (except of breeding of course *giggles). And now after this great anniversary weekend I am even more sure - this is MY THING.

Thank you ALL for supporting and loving BPM - tenants, auction sellers, friends - you all are just GREAT. And we have a really nice crowd here at BPM and a friendly and familial atmosphere :=)))

First anniversary day :=)))

Wohooott BPM is really 2 years in SL now ... I have to say ... I am proud :=) And running the market and doing the auctions is so much fun .... okay sometimes it is hard work too but most of the time I really have just a great time with you, the tenants, friends and auction sellers of BPM :=))))

Today we had the first event - the DROP DOWN EVENT - and it was just great ... a lot of great bargains were made and everyboy just did have fun ... we will do that again - that´s for sure already :=))

Tomorrow we will have the usual ALL BREEDABLES auction but with some nice specials for you ... more you find in the auction blog ;=))
