Christmas Feeling with JingJings

Wooot! Yesterday, Friday 13th we had a reay nice JingJing event at the Christmas Breedables Fair.

Starting at 1PM with a Q&A and party afterwards. DJ Zermit did an awesome tune again, of course we all got a lot of awesome presents from the prize giver again and congratulation to Maros for winning the Contest "Best in Holidays"! Well he did choose the right outfit as Santa with a BIG bag full of presents for everyone ;=)

A big thank you to Twstd and Abu for doing this again, for all the awesome gifts we got and for a lot of fun. Thanks also to Zermit who presented us a lot of really nice and not so well known Christmas songs. So all together this party was just another blast! (as all JingJing parties are *giggles)

WOOOT! There are some exciting things going on at BPM again!

♦ First of all - we are now an official HUB for the EVO Fairies!!!! WWWOOOOTTTT! I am sooooooo happy and want to say a BIG thank you to everybody who vote for BPM to become the new HUB store :=))))) Thanks a lot folks!!!!

So we have a nice fairy place now with supply store, fishing area, Lockbox Giver and also some special "fairy spots" for you to rent right next to the HUB store. Of course you also can sell your fairies everywhere at BPM too as usual. I will open some new spot for rent all over the sim too in the next hours.

If you have been to the fair you already know - it is laggy like hell there. Good thing is - our spot is at sim 2 so that will be the less crowded part of the fair and because of that it might be a good TP point for you to come over without too much problems.
Also keep in mind - best is to take off all your scripts you are using, specially in hairs, shoes, clothes and even AO. Take off all your HUDs too.

WOOT! This year for the first time BPM will take part in the

        *** Magic of Christmas Breedables Fair 2013 ****

As you all know the Fair is one of the biggest events in SL .... also called RFL Fair or Breedables Fair. ALL profit goes to RFL so it is not only an expo but also a big charity event for RFL!

The Fair takes place from
Dezember 1st - Dezember 16th 2013

This is what you have to expect at the Fair:
♦ Nice or Naughty gifts - you find a gift box in all stalls at the Fair - touch it to get a free nice gift .... or sometimes you will also get a naughty one ;=)
♦ Holliday Hunt ... go hunting on the Fair and get more nice free stuff!
♦ Silent One of a Kind Auction .... have a look what great unique breedables or stuff you can bid on!
♦ lots of live events and Breedable Auction for Live

And of course you will see all the etablished breedables and markets .... maybe you discover new ones too .... and just the awesome designed spots are worth a visit!

Fishing Game Contests @ BPM

With the new BPM MadHouse we also have set up a new Fishing Game for you were you can JingJing prizes!

Just to make it a bit more clear here some "deeper" explanations:

What contests are these?
The contests will last for one week, starting on Fridays (after the pay outs of the former contest) and last till Thursdays the following week. There are 4 prizes to win for place 1., 2., 3. and biggest fish. All prizes are JingJing related.

Who long does a contest last?
A contest will last for one week (Friday after pay out till Thursday the following week). So you have one week to rise up your score!

What does this cost me?
To enter the contest you have to pay 1LS ONLY and only for ONE time - with 1LS you can fish as long as the contest lasts!
The fee of 1LS is just to keep "freebie hunters" away.

Do I need a certain group to take part in?
YES. You need the "Breedables Paradies Market" group. This contest is for tenants and friends of BPM only! Also this is because we want to make sure that only breeders take part into the contest. We do not want your prizes be stolen by "freebie hunters" or other ppl who are not really into breedables and/or in JingJings.

And the winner is .... who?
The person who reaches the highest score will win the contest, person with the second highest the second prize, person with the third highest the third prize.
Also there is a fourth prize - for the biggest fish.
So you can win max. 2 prizes - one of the first 3 and also the biggest fish.

What is that "biggest fish prize"?
The biggest fish in the pond is a 29.9 lb one. The FIRST person who catches that fish wins the prize for the biggest fish. Once this is fish caught, nobody else can catch it - first winner will stay the winner!

What about the other 3 places?
As long as one contest lasts the scores can be beaten. Means - the person who has the highest score on the first day will NOT automatically stay on the 1. place. The next person who has a higher score will be on place 1 and the former person who had place 1 will be on place 2.
So the fight is not over before the contest is over!

And finally the most important part of all:

How do I fish?
► To take part in the contest you pay the golden ball next to the contest board 1LS only.
► Please make sure you do have the BPM group tag ON! (otherwise your score will NOT count on the board)
► You sit down on one of the boats, rocks, stumps or chairs and start fishing
► When you catch a fish a pop up will show up where you have to click "strike" to catch your fish.
► You can catch 20 fishes per round.
► You can play as much rounds as you like.
► Your score will be shown over one of the trophies on the contestboard - as long as nobody else does beat you ;=)
► After you have caught your first 20 fishes and want to play again you have to go for the entire 20 fishes again to make your score count (and it will only show up if your really did beat your old score).

When do I get my prize?
Every FRIDAY at 12PM we will have a small "Pay Out Party" - you will get your prizes and we will have "round tables" for all your JingJing questions or sometimes "Coyote Ugly styled parties" in the MadHouse too. Stay tuned for announcements!

Hang out and meet new friends at the campfire and in the pub, join us for parties and games - everything is "breedable related"!

We will have some events and parties in the pub as well as games outside where you can win some money, breedables or just play for fun.

ACTUAL CONTEST:
For the introduciong of BPM MadHouse we set out an awesome FISHING GAME for you :=))) That is specially for all JingJing breeders among you cause you can win awesome JingJing eggs and even an emerald gemstone!!!! 

How to play:
Pay the golden ball - ONLY 1LS for the whole contest! (Pay one time and play for the entire time left - you can see how many time is left on the board)
You MUST HAVE THE BPM GROUP TAG ACTIVE!
Sit on one of the boats, chairs, stumps or rocks, choose tackle and bait and then you have to do nothing but waiting. When you caught a fish a pop up will appear where you have to click "STRIKE" and see what you got!

You can also see what you can win at the board. Win a JingJing egg or an emerald gem stone!

That´s why we call it the JingJing MADNESS ;=)

Omg folks I swear - at the JingJing auction yesterday we all did pee our pants of laughing .... and once again we now know why we call it the "JingJing MADNESS" ;=) Let me tell you .....

As you all know we raffle free eggs every auction. At the last auction Derek Buccaneer said he has the feeling that only women always win that raffle and that he is thinking of putting on a dress next time. That already made us laugh.

Yesterday he showed up for auction .... and we all passed out. He came with a male avi, totally muscle-bound, but with a very sexy dress. Also he had a very "discreet" facelight too ;=) See how that looked:

I can tell you .... we all died of laughing. He also had an awesome walk it really looked like a tasty chick on drugs ;=)

It is REALLY amazing what ppl do just to win a free JingJing egg!!!! We had so much fun and were joking around and Derek was an awesome entertainer. I said "See this is why we call it the JingJing MADNESS - ppl get not only excited - they even get MAD ;=)"

We also had an AWESOME auction - almost every panel was sold. And with all that kidding and teasing and much more we had a bunch of fun again .... as we always do at auctions :=)

Very nice was that Derek after the auction said how comfortable he and his wife feel in the JingJing community. They are doing JingJings for about half a year now but since they are more active in the community and come to the auctions it is even more fun and also they learned a lot about how to breed these cuties so they get better jings now too so breeding is more fun for them now too.

This is really awesome to hear and shows the JingJing community is on a damn good way - and very personal I can say it is one of the best and nicest breedables communities in SL.

Also more and more ppl show up for the auctions now. We always have so much fun there as well as we all can learn more about the Jings every time.

Halloween already starts on OCTOBER 1st @ BPM!

Because Halloween is my favourite holiday of the year I do not want to reduce it to only one night ;=) So during the whole October you find a SPECIAL HALLOWEEN PLACE at BPM.

There is something going on at BPM! First of all - the GEMPANDAS are here now! YEAH! After long time of waiting they are finally released and of course you also find them here at BPM!

That includes a chance for the auctions too, means - we added Gempanda auctions now to the scheduling as well as an extra JingJing auction at a new time too. So the new auctions take place now:

We all have been waiting for them sooooo long and now they are finally here and today will be the day where they really will become alive at BPM:

                           ***GEMPANADAS ARE HERE :=)))***

Of course we have a special area for them where you can visit the first real gempandas and of course we also will have auctions for them.
Btw - informations about our auctions you also find in our BPM Auction Almanach

But already I can tell you all that we will do Gempanda Auctions on Mondays and Fridays at 12PM! And we even have a seperate auctionhouse for them - feel free to visit it already and have a look around (but please keep in mind that the setup is not completely done so far ;=) ► Gempanda Auctionhouse @ BPM

What is more .... FALL is coming and that also means - HALLOWEEN is near!!!! You all know fall is my favourite season of the year and Halloween SO mine *giggles .... So I announce here already that we will have something special for you at BPM during October. There will be a special "Halloween Area" with stuff to explore for you and even some more specials .... but no no no I will not tell you now ;=)))) So just stay tuned for more informations soon :=))))

New RL circumstances

NO do not panic - Cord will still be in SL *giggles .... but in my RL I now have some new circumstances I have and want to take care of .... and as always when new things in your life happen it takes some time till routine is in again .... So this and the next week just will be a bit discontinuous - that´s all.
But I will be online as much as I can and of course the auctions at BPM will take place as usual. I just write this in here cause a lot of ppl are used that I am online very often and already were afraid I would cut down my online times and not be available as I used to be.

If there is something important you need to tell me please send me a NC to make sure I will get your message even if I am offline.

And of course running BPM, the auctions and doing my support job as JingJing manager are as important for me as they always have been so you can be sure I still will take a lot of care about them.

What "BREEDING" does mean....

First of all ... breeding means WORK! If you think - breeding is buying a couple of breedables, breed them and make a lot of money ... NO - it does NOT work that way!

When you do breedables you run a business .... and a business requests work - specially when you do want to have success!

♦ STARTING with breedables:
You found a breedable you like and want to do? First improtant thing to do is - GET INFORMED about it! Find the mainstore, find the group for it, find the website, read manuals! Do NOT just buy something and just start - better you know what you are going to deal with!
Keep in mind - if you buy starter packs that always means you will start from the bottom. With breedables that are on the grid for some time already that can be a problem - it will take you a long time till get to the point other breeders are. So better buy on the secondary markets too. Look around, inform yourself about the prices and traits and breeds and coats ... what is new, what is rare .... and so on. That way you have a better start. Very important are the:

♦ BREEDABLES GROUPS:
they are the place you can ask your questions and find help. Groups for the breedables are always very neccessary and useful - specially for news, updates and so on. So make sure you join the groups and chat with the breeders who are already there to find out more about the breedable you want to do.

♦ AUCTIONS for breedables:
are very important too. Auctions are the place where you meet others, where you get the best informations about what is new, rare, most wanted ... and of course about prices. Even if you just started with a breedable - make sure to join auctions for them just to learn. And very often you can get a bargain too!

♦ MARKETS for breedables:
always a good way to sell your breedables. Look around in the markets and rent where you like it best. What is important if you set up a stall in a market is also: Make it nice. Just placing down some eggs or dens or boxes or whatever .... that does not work so good. Better make it a nice spot with some decoration - the better your spot looks the more you will sell!

♦ Keep yourself INFORMED - ALWAYS!
Never stop looking around in the markets or at auctions .... look what others ask for their breedables - if prices go up or down you will always see it there.

♦ ADVERTISE for your breedables!
When you have rented a stall at markets - well nice, ppl may find you by accident and buy. But much better is to ADVERTISE for your stall a few times every day. Ppl have to know WHERE you are and WHAT you sel :=)

♦ MARKET ECONOMY:
YES - market economy works in SL and for breedables too! Means - it is totally normal that the more of something is on the grid the lower are the prices. Means again - prices DO drop on breedables. Sometimes even daily. So you know how improtant it is to keep yourself informed about that ... at auctions, by looking over the markets, by chatting in the groups .....

YES - doing a breedable IS work! Work you have to do DAILY! But if you do so ... you will be successful too.

When your friend rents here too for two weeks, your friend gets the second week refunded and you get an extra week for free too!

How to do it:
Your friend rents a spot here for 2 weeks. You fill in a NC with:
• Your name
• Name of the new renter
And drag the NC into the Friendship Recruitment Mailbox next to the rental station.

MOSSMS took BPM by storm ;=)

Yesterday was a really exciting day - release day of the Mossms. We all were there 2 hours before, Zermit did spinn for us on impulse and we had a lot of fun. We all got more and more excited as the time went on and finally we were even counting minutes together *giggles.

Then it was 12PM - and RIGHT IN THAT SECOND the vendors turned online. That was as smooth and uncomplicated as the whole beta was.

Right in that second we also jumped to the vendors and bought our starter packs. Of course - the party was over by then all on a sudden *lol ... cause everybody rushed home to set them out ... but Zermit stayed and did spinn a little more while she was taking hers out and while I filled the BPM Mossms City with life again.

YEAH it was such a pleasure to see them running around again in their baby room ... of course this city is still empty except of that single room where they all are very busy ;=)

As a welcome we did a "Welcome Babies Food Party" for them ... and OMG look at this ... just too cute:

I guess they loved it too and as you can see they were REALLY hungry after their long journey from their homeplanet to BPM ;=) Never saw babies eat before and laughed my ass off as I saw them sitting right in the plates and on the pizza .... ehm yes you CAN say they love pizza!

So BPM has its Mossms back .... and I can not wait for them to grow adult and to breed and watch them and and and .... omg really excited *lol

Wandering mind about JingJings ....

As an auctioneer for JingJings I meet a lot of breeders every auction and also hear their statements ... as well as I can read the group chat ;=)
In the last time I heard a lot I just do not really agree with and I thought it would be time to write about what I do think about the JingJings and their breeding system. Maybe - when you read that - you get another view about some points too ;=)

I have been breeding breedables for something about 3 years now, have done a lot of different breedables and was beta tester for some too. But for me - at this moment - the JingJings are really one of the best breedables that have ever been on the grid.

They are "easy to handle". You birth them, they go to the home and you can sit next to them and watch them - which is always like a "Zhen Meditation for SL Avies" ;=) No need to pet them, no need for an autopetter, but if you WANT to you can hold them. Nice. Also they are not really expensive to feed too. When I did the maths right it is something about 5,5LS per day per Jing. Comparing to other breedables this is really "cheap".

Yes we did and do and also will have problems with them from time to time. But this is totally normal. So far I never did a breedable I had no problems with - I had that with every breedable - such things happen. Also you need to keep in mind that SL can indeed cause a lot of problems too - we all know that very well. LL does some changes too here and then without telling anybody so creators have to deal with that too. Once a creator of a breedable, a really technical accomplished man who works as system administrator in RL, said about LL and breedables:"It is really really hard to code against the madness LL is doing" *giggles ... so I think we always should keep in mind that problems are nothing creators do cause or it is because they are "lazy" or whatever ... it just can happen!
But I also have to say that when I have a problem with the Jings .... and I had A LOT so far ... the support always was fantastic. The support staff is working really hard (sometimes I doubt they ever do sleep) and I always got a fast respond on my tickets - never waited for an response longer than 12 hours. Comparing this to other breedables I again have to say - never had such a fast support. And they always tried to fix the problem as soon as possible .... if it took them a bit longer they always let me know too so I do not only have the feeling but I KNOW FOR SURE - they are really working hard on it.
AND you have to keep in mind - nobody is the only person with problems. I do not know how many tickets they have to take care of each day but I BET - not less. And also you never should forget - they have a RL too they NEED to take care of too! ;=)
Knowing this all it sometimes is a kind of wonder how fast and good the support is working and how hard they work on all the problems.

Another big thing are the traits of the Jings. Some ppl do complain that it is too hard to get traits on the Jings. And yes I totally can understand that if you buy a Jing with good traits for a lot of money you WANT and even EXPECT to get something good out of it again so you make your money back and even some profit.
BUT ... well let´s talk about traits then. I again think that the breeding system of the Jings works very well. Yes, it is not THAT easy to get traits on a naked jing. Yes, they do not pass their traits or all of their traits on every singly egg.
But imagine they would! What would happen? Very soon the market would be overflow and rare traits would not been rare anymore. We would have a loss in value on every single Jing very fast.
So the fact that the traits do not pass that easy - or that you really have to work to get the traits you want - keeps the market going. We all want to sell our Jings, don´t we? Well that way we do!
Okay and we also buy Jings and of course want to see the traits we bought passing. Well they DO pass! But YOU have to do some work for that too. What I found out is that you just have to find the right mate. Some couples will just not pass the traits ... try it for two or three times, if it does not work - change the partners. I swear that works - it works for me and this since the beta!
Also if you do have a let´s say 4 or 5 traited Jing and you pair it with a naked or a 2 traited one ... you can not complain when you get low traited or naked Jings out of that. But come on - how should that work? You really expect that your loaded Jing passes all its trait on a naked one every single time? *Coughs .... is this your first breedable you are doing? *Cough cough ....
Also you need to find the same traits to breed to get more of those traits or even new ones. For example hair trait - you need to put two Jings with hair trait together - they do not need to have the same hair trait, just both have to have a hair trait - and you WILL get more Jings with hair trait out of it. Sure - if you put a rare
trait together with a "common" trait the rare one will not show up that much as the common one will ... but hey - this is why this trait is RARE!

So I really like the breeding system of the Jings. Cause they are what breeding means to me - they DO HAVE a GOOD WORKING breeding system and WE - the breeders - have to do some work and have to "get behind it" to get what we want ... but for me it really works good. And it works in a way I really have fun breeding them.

This all is my very personal opinion about the Jings. But doing a breedable is not only - I buy something and put it out and it does exactly what I want ... nope, that´s not breeding. Breeding means the breeder has to work with their breedables, to discover and to find out ... otherwise it would be boring very fast and also the market will be down very fast - I had that on a lot of breedables already and I am glad that the Jings are different!

New Mossms City :=)

As the beta for the mossms goes on I built a new city for them ... with a house to live in and a room for the babies to grow, a gym where they can train, a tech place and farm to work and a bar to relax ... also they have a little lake now where they will be able to train for the synchron swimming ;=) Here´s a pic of the whole New Mossms City at BPM:

Cause this is really big now I need to fill it with more mossms now ........ *giggles

... and this brought me to another point. Another thing I really love about these mossms. Cause ... we all know this: We breed and breed and we get a lot of "crap" (forgive me the word "crap" ... but we all know how it is ;=) ... but what to do with them? We do not want to keep them, selling does not work too at a certain point ... and even if we can send them away and get something for doing so it is not THAT nice.

BUT - with the mossms it is different. There are NO "usless" mossms. Even if they do not have a "good" breed and/or traits - they still produce resources. And the faster we get resorces the faster we can breed new ones or get new items ... so either way this is a "win-win" situation ;=)

And that also means - ALL mossms will be worth selling respectively buying - cause we all need enough mossms for our resources.

Okay - there is still the prim problem. But with mossms that only do have 8 prims anymore this problem will be solved  too in a way. Okay again - you still need the items for them ... but hey - 8 prims per mossm? There are a lot of breedables that have way more ;=))) So that should balance the prims for the items ...

All in all I fell in love with this mossms more and more each day - STILL ;=) It is just fun to build stuff for them and to watch them. When I finished a new house for them and set it out I am excited like a child at christmas what they will do with it ... did not have that for a long time now ;=))

And there is still so much to discover ... I have to say even if I can just not wait till the mossms will be released and I will have them for "real" this beta is one of the best working ones since ages and the most entertaining and funny beta I have ever done ;=)

... yes Cord is no longer green ... WHY you ask? Well here is the reason...

First I need to tell those who did not know why I was green I guess ;=) ... Well me and my former bf once went to the musical "Wicked - The Witches of Oz". While we were watching it my bf suddenly looked at me and said "Hey, Elphaba (the green witch) - that is you!" - and he was right.
Her natur, her love for animals, her stubbornness, her love for freedom - yes, that indeed was - and is - me. When he said that I was THAT happy. And thought - THIS is the guy who really can see - and accept - who I am. So back in SL I searched for a green skin and I was green now for almost two years.

But things change ... and my bf just was not the guy I thought he was. In the end I had to face the fact that he does NOT know me at all, that he does not even care who I am, never did and never will nor wants to. That was the reason why I ended the relationship ... sad, oh yes, but - well, that´s just life ;=)

The end of the relationship was weeks ago and I still feel happy and free and just know it was the only thing I could do - and it was the right way. So it was time for a change ... and also I really was sick and tiered of this green ;=)

So Cord got a new avi and I guess this blog will soon get a new "outfit" too.

I am still the same person I ever was and will ever be - even if it does not fit for others - but I know - I am who I am and I like who I am so to all of you out there you think you can change persons or buy them with presents .... THAT JUST DOES NOT WORK! ;=)

Cord is still Cord and I promise I will stay Cord ... to all of you out there who like who I am ... and I got SOME proofs in the last time that this is a fact too ;=))))
